ATP Finals group stages; Novak Djokovic VS Alexander Zverev

Novak Djokovic, The current world no. 1 is to face off Alexander Zverev for the group stages match and on the other hand, Roger Federer is up against Kevin Anderson.

The season-ending tournament will be held in London’s O2 arena on November 11 and will feature elite eight players of the sports. The tournament will end on November 18th.

Djokovic has made it back to world no.1 rank after leaving the post for two years, after Rafael Nadal’s withdrawal from the event. Djokovic will also now play against Nadal’s replacement John Isner and the 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic.

On the other hand, Federer is bidding to win his 100th tour tile and will be facing the French open Finalist Dominic Thiem, Kei Nishikori and the two time Grand slam finalist Kevin Anderson.

Every player must compete through three round-robin matches to qualify for the two spots of the semi finals.

Nadal was due to even it out for the year end against Djokovic for the world no. 1 ranking. However, he is going to miss the season finale with his abdominal strain and ankle pain problems.
