The Frenchman Lucas Pouille stunned the world as he made it into his maiden semi-finals of the Grand Slam after he defeated Milos Raonic in four sets at the Australian Open.
Pouille, the 28th seed of the tournament is coached by former Australian Open champion Amelie Mauresmo.
Pouille defeated the Canadian payer Milos Raonic with his big serves as he won the match by 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 6-7 (2-7) 6-4 in three hours. He has made it into the last four of a major event for the first time in his career.
Raonic managed to win the third set which gave him hope but Pouille changed his strategy in the next set to seal his win at the third match point.
Before this, 24 years old Pouille has never won a match at Melbourne but now he will face the world no. 1 Novak Djokovic or Kei Nishikori for the semi-finals match.
