After Naomi Osaka received the trophy for the former Australian Open champion Li Na, she said, “public speaking is not one of my strongest sides so I hope I can just get through with this. Huge congrats to Petra, against whom I have always wanted to play. I did not want this to be our first match but I am still much honored to have this. Thank you to everyone who watched and supported me. I am really honored to have played in this final.”
