Baltimore Ravens 42-21 New York Jets: Lamar Jackson leads Ravens victory over Jets

The Thursday night game of NFL between the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Jets ended with a dominating 42-21 victory for the Ravens. In this game, Lamar Jackson not only led the Ravens to the win but also broke the record set by Michael Vick for most rushing yards scored a QB in a single season.

Jackson threw 23 passes and completed 15 of them for his 212 passing yards and increased his overgrowing NFL-leading passing TD count to 33 TDs which also matches the Vinny Testaverde’s franchise record set back in 1996.

He carried the ball 8 times to have 86 rushing yards on the ground by which he surpassed the record of Vick, which was 1039 yards plying for Atlanta Falcons back in 2006.

As for the QB of New York Giants; Sam Darnold, he threw 32 passes but completed 18 of them for 218 passing yards along with 2 TDs as they Jets are now 5-9 on the regular season. Darnold lost one fumble and was intercepted once as well. He fell for the 2nd time in the last 6 games of Jets.

Jamison Crowder from the Jets’ side caught 6 passes for 90 yards along with making 2 TDs. As for Baltimore Ravens, they had 218 yards on the ground.

Jackson was not worrying about the record of Vick as broke the record on his 5-yard run for the first carry of the 3rd quarter.

Brandon Ingram scored a point on the next play that allowed for the Baltimore Ravens to get 7-0 lead in the game. The score was 13-0 after Boykin caught a 5-yard pass from Jackson. Jets responded with a 4-yard scoring pass but then Baltimore Ravens too replied back with a 1yard TD pass to Andrews by Jackson following which came a 2-point run from Ingram to make the score 21-7.

During the 3rd quarter, Jackson threw 2 more TD passes; one for the 24-yar play to Marquise Brown and the 33-yard scoring pass to Seth Roberts.

With 1 minute left to the game, Jackson threw a 10-yard pass to Ingram to make the score 29 for the Ravens.
