Beal’s poster dunk with 30 points led Wizards past Mavs by 132-123

Bradley Beal rushed to the locker room to grab hold of his phone in the locker room to check out his dunk over the 7 footer Salah Mejri.

The 6 feet 5 inches tall Beal said to media with a smile, “this one might be getting the crown as there was a lot of body-to-body contact. I am proud of myself because you guys know I don’t dunk.”

This play of his was most impressive in his total 30 points game with 8 assists and 7 rebounds as the Two-time All-Star led the Wizards for a win over the Dallas Mavericks by 132-123 on Wednesday night.

Beal after watching the replay said, “I had to look at it because I have not jumped like that since my high school days.”

From Wizards side, Trevor Ariza scored 22 points while Jabari Parker added in his 20 points for the team who have now entered for the 11th rank in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

However, despite winning this game, Wizards are currently 27-37 on the season, same as the Dallas Mavericks.

Beal said, “Our goal right now is to make it into the playoffs. Until we win until the year’s end, we are going to keep pushing ourselves.”

As for Mavericks, they were led by their rookie Luka Doncic who made a step back 3-pointers, spin moves and all sort of other techniques to score 31 points along with 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

Dwight Powell form Mavs’ side made 11 of his 12 shots to score his career high of 26 points with 10 rebounds.

With this loss, Mavs have now lost 8 of their last 9 games and had zero turnovers in the first quarter of the game.

As for Beal, he completed his 18th consecutive game by scoring 20 or more points.

Up next, Mavs will play against the Orlando Magic on Friday night while Wizards will play against the Charlotte Hornets.
