Belgium beats Cyprus by 6-0 and Spain wins over Romania in the qualifiers of European Championship 2020

Belgium was able to finish the qualifying campaign of the European Championship 2020 with another perfect win against Cyprus.  This time they defeated Cyprus by 6-1.

This time Christian Benteke and Kevin De Bruyne were able to score twice for the team in a match held at the King Baudoin Stadium. Prior to this match, Belgium had already qualified for the Group I but still presented an amazing performance for the audience in attendance.

Nicholas Ioannou of Cyprus was denied a goal from Belgium’s Benteke during the 16th minute and after that Belgium took control of the entire game.

Yannick Carrasco, forward for Belgium also made it to the scoresheet along with Christoforou Kypros scoring one later.

Belgium managed to be the best national team in the rankings as they scored 40 goals in the 10 qualifying matches with their 215 players netting.

Spain was able to finish the qualifying campaign for the European Championship 2020 with a 5-0 win over Romania. This match was also the one which as a farewell match for the team’s coach Robert Moreno.

Robert Moreno also did not show up for the post-match press conference and the reports are that he might not be continuing the coaching for the La Roja.

The soccer Federation of Spain also did not make any comment as to why Robert Moreno did not talk with the press as a news conference was set for Tuesday.

Moreno took this job after the previous coach Luis Enrique resigned back in March in order to take care of his sick daughter. Before that Moreno had been the assistant coach for Luis Enrique.

For the hosts, 2 goals were scored by who were already able to make it to the European Championship 2020 with a draw.

Spain was also able to get points through goals from Fabián Ruiz, Mikel Oyarzabal and Adrián Rus.
