Beterbiev vs. Johnson; Callum determinant to bring the IFB Light Heavyweight title back home

British boxer, Callum Johnson has said to media that he thinks he has the ability to shock the world and he can be Britain’s next world champion.

Johnson is lately challenging Arthur Beterbiev who is currently the undefeated IBF light heavyweight champion. There match is going to be held this Saturday in Chicago.

This is going to be Johnson’s first world title fight and he is confident after the fellow British player Callum Smith winning his fight against Groves to bring the title home too.

Johnson in talks to media said that, “I am not delusional. I am aware as to how much tough this task actually is and I know what and who I am up against. However, I am still not bothered by it all. I believe that I can shock the world. I believe his honestly when I say that If I can bring my best on my day than I can produce the best as well. I have a great chance and we have already seen that”.

He further said, “you all known that I have the power to knock anyone out and I have also got the skills o do it. I was top amateur myself. This is going o be the fight where people will see what I can do. Win, lose or draw; people are going to enjoy a great fight. They are going to witness the fact that Callum Johnson can really fight and can fight toe to toe with the best in the world”.

As for Beterbiev, this is going to be his first defense fight for his first professional title. His amateur career is illustrated with two wins of World and one of European Championship.

On the other hand, Johnson’s career is glittered with him winning gold in the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi back in 2010. He has also won the British and Commonwealth titles as a pro. However, his fight for the IBF Light Heavyweight title is his way of paying honor to his late father; Johno.
