British Boxing Board of Control released a statement that Billy Joe Saunders is a clean fighter n he has not been found in breach of any doping violations by BBB of C or UKAD.
Billy Joe Saunders presented himself for a voluntary drug test whose results were adverse analytical finings.
Frank Warren; the promoter for Saunders told media that substance found in tests was a commonly used nasal spray used as a decongestant. This substance is in no way in violation for the UK Anti Doping regulations while it used out of competition.”
In completion tests are to be considered on the day of the fight.
There is also report that this substance found in tests could be banned in Massachusetts where his next fight with Demetrius Andrade is due on 20th October.
Replying to this news, Saunders released a tweet saying that, “I am clan fighter to the bone and always have been and I am all set and ready to go at the 20th. Thank you to all my fans that have stood by me. I am a clean athlete and I am going to be here a long time.”
