Bobby Portis of the New York Knicks was ejected out of the Tuesday night Knicks VS Lakers game following his brutal foul on Laker’s player Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
As the score for the teams was 39-30 in the lead of Lakers during the 2nd quarter, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope drove towards the basket when he got leveled by Portis’s forearm that hit him on the head. The forward of the Knicks did not even come close to make the contact with the ball but he struck Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s head. The hit was so bad that even KCP’s headband flew off his head and he fell down on the court and was visibly shaking.
Portis was then confronted by LeBron James and Rajon Rondo for this brutal foul on Kentavious Caldwell-Pope but things did not escalate. KCP was replaced by Danny Green and could not return back for the rest of the game. As for Portis, he got found for the flagrant foul 2 and was ejected from the game.

After halftime, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope underwent the assessment for concussion and was cleared to return in the game during the late stage of the 3rd quarter.
LA Lakers also avoided another scary incident after Anthony Davis too suffered a hard fall on his own. He left the game gingerly and was ruled out for the rest of the night as the Lakers said he got a sacral contusion.

As for the 24 years old Bobby Portis, he is playing his 5th season of NBA with New York. He was drafted back as the 22nd overall pick back in 2015 from Arkansas. He also got suspended back in 2017 from 7 games after he punched his teammate Nikola Miroitc in his face during their practice. Miroitc was admitted into the hospital for having not only a concussion but also facial fractures.
