Booker and Oubre lead Phoenix Suns’ win over the Minnesota Timberwolves by 125-109

Kelly Oubre Jr. of the Phoenix Suns was ready for the low key night in front of his friends and the family as he played for Phoenix Suns in his hometown for celebrating his birthday as he dressed in black attire from head to toe.

He had done his part for the Phoenix Suns in the game and the results were exactly what he had anticipated for. The new member of the Suns scored 24 points as the Phoenix Suns defeated Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night for a win by 125-109.

Kelly Oubre Jr. said, “It is really easy to get lost in the sauce of the emotions of a game.  It was my birthday and I definitely wanted to win.  So I just wanted to go out on the court and do everything that I can to get this win for the team.”

Devin Booker also was the key scorer from Phoenix Suns’ side as he scored 26 points while Ricky Rubio helped with his 16 points as well as 14 assists.  The Phoenix Suns were able to win their first home game since the 14th of November. With this win, Suns have ended their 4-game losing streak as well at the home venue of Talking Stick Resort Arena.

Dario Saric was also phenomenal from Suns’ side as he scored 20 points. As for Rubio, he had scored 13 assists or more for the Suns in their last 3 games.

Oubre said of Rubio’s amazing performance, “you better keep your eyes open and pray to not get hit in the head because it is going to happen if you are pout in the open. He is a wizard with this play.  He can do a lot of things on the basketball court. But looking at him you would never guess he can do these sorts of things.”

From the T’wolves side, Karl Anthony Towns led the team with his 33 points and 15 rebounds while Andrew Wiggins scored 123 points and Jeff Teague added in his 16 points.
