Kell Brook ahead of his fight with Michael Zerafa for the WBA Welterweight title made the weight easily.
32 years old Brook weighed at about 10st 10lbs 2oz, which was around 4 pounds away from the Welterweight limit. Michael Zerafa also made weight inside the 11st limit at 10st 13lbs 8oz ahead of the Saturday’s night fight at the Sheffield.
As for the plans of the Brook VS. Khan fight, they are still hanging in balance. Brook after making weight said to media that, “I was only a few pounds away from welterweight. I can make welterweight. The kid from Bolton does not want it. It’s looking like he doesn’t. We have got to get rid of this guy and move to the champions who want to seriously fight. I am going to seek and destroy him. I am looking o get rid of this guy in style”.
If Brook wins this fight he will have a chance to move closer for the fight against Jarrett Hurd who currently holds the WBA and IBF super-welterweight Titles.
