Bulls add to Heat woes at home with a win by 105-89

Chicago Bulls are currently moving downward towards the NBA standings and they are aware that they are not going to be included in the postseason. Despite this fact, the head coach Jim Boylen is still not going to let them play like the 30 games are meaningless.

Instead, he is challenging them and on Wednesday night, they finally listened to him.

Bobby Portis scored 26 points, 22 of which were scored in the second half while Wayne Selden added in his 20 points as Bulls managed to defeat the Miami Heat by 105-89 to finish their second worst January in their franchise history.

Boylen said, “I just think you make it a competitive experience. The game today is what the league is all about. You get in lat after a competitive game and now you are applying against the Miami Heat, a great franchise. Now a competitive person takes this challenge.”

Lauri Markkanen scored 14 points with 13 rebounds for the Bulls who since January of 2011 when they had 1-13, were having their second worst January of the calendar year. Other players from bulls’ side; Kris Dunn scored 14 points while Robin Lopez added in his 13 points for the team.

As for Miami Heat, they were led by Tyler Johnson who scored 15 points while Justise Winslow scored 14 points and Bam Adebayo and Wayne Ellington added in their 13 points each for the team.

Up next, Chicago Bulls will play against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday while Miami Heat will host a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
