Cagliari beat Sassuolo by 2-0 to keep their winning streak in Serie A

With a surprise rally from Cagliari late in the game of the Serie A against Sassuolo allowed them to make the game draw at 2-2.

The Sardinian club which has never been able to finish at the top of Serie A since the season of 2008-2009 now has been able to maintain its spot at no. 4 for this season with a difference of one goal against Roma.

Coming fresh from their 2-2 draw against Juventus, Sassuolo was able to get their 2-0 lead over Cagliari early on in the game during the first 36 minutes of the first-half following the goals from Domenico Berardi and Filip Djuricic respectively. However, the Cagliari also responded with a g2nd half goal shortly after the interval from Joao Pedro, who pulled the stunt with a header.

Berardi missed his penalty shot during the 66th minute that would have allowed Sassuolo their 2-0 lead before the substitute player of Cagliari Daniele Ragatzu made the last-minute goal for the team to equalize only after 12 minutes of coming onto the field.

Following back to back defeat during this season of Serie A, Cagliari had been in under amazing form ever since they got Radja Nainggolan from lnter Milan on loan.

The other game of Serie A between Brescia and SPAL ended with a 1-0 win for the Brescia. Brescia’s forward Mario Balotelli allowed the team to win the game and be ridden of their last spot of Serie A.

This was 50th Serie A goal from Mario Balotelli which he has desiccated to his son and daughter.

Mario Balotelli said, “For me, it is really very important to save Brescia and that is what I have always in my mind.”

As for SPAL, they are now at 20th rank in Serie A, which is one point behind the 19th place Brescia.
