Chad Kelly; backup QB of Denver Broncos waived by team following his arrest

Chad Kelly has been waived off by Denver Broncos, who was their backup quarterback. The team waived Kelly off after one day of him getting arrested in alleged first-degree criminal trespassing charges. The incident took place on Tuesday morning at around 1 a.m.

Kelly made his court appearance on Wednesday morning and now his next date is set with the court on November 8th.

John Elway; team president of football operations/general manager said in a statement, this decision has been made by us as an organization. After revising everything and discussing it within the organization we all agreed that it was best decision to release Chad as this is the right thing to do.”

He further stated, “Even if Chad is no longer part of our team, we are still offering to help him in any way possible”.

24 years old Kelly was arrested after being found near the area of alleged criminal trespassing and was sent to Arapahoe County jail. He was released on Tuesday morning after paying a 2500 dollars bail bond. Police stated that the investigation is still ongoing.

According to some, Kelly was seen to be attending the Halloween party thrown by his teammate Von Miller earlier that night. In addition to this, Kelly’s previous history is also not so great. He college career is tainted with disciplinary issues as he was dismissed from Clemson back in April of 2014.

In December 2014 he was also once arrested for causing altercations outside a bar in Buffalo, New York. At that time he was relived fro sentence only after he pled guilty. He did serve 50 hours of community service for that case.
