Chris Brown, the retired professional surfer’s dead body was found last Saturday on a California beach. His body has been identified last week and according to the Santa Barbara Police Department. Chris Brown was 48 years old at the time of his death.
Anthony Wanger; the Police department’s spokesperson said that the cause of the Brown’s death is still to be identified and a foul play has not been ruled out yet.
The body of the surfer was found under the bluffs of the Douglas Family Preserve near Arroyo Burro Beach County Park in Santa Barbara.
Brown, who was working as an urchin driver at the time of his death, is best renowned for his teen years when he participated in the professional circuit of a World Tour.
According to the “Surfer Magazine” Brown has won the following titles.
- world amateur surfing title in 1988
- the Professional Surfing Association of America (Bud Pro Tour) championship in 1994
Kelly Slater, the legendary surfer is the close friend of Chris Brown and rival in their teen years also posted a tribute for Brown.
He wrote in the tribute video’s caption, “This guy was just such an excited, happy light in my childhood. And we were nearly inseparable as teenagers.”
For Brown’s funeral expenses a “GoFundMe” page has been started.
