Conor McGregor gives major hint of his U-turn on MMA retirement

Conor McGregor gave away a major hint that his retirement from mixed martial arts (MMA) might be over after one week following his announcement about quitting MMA for good.

2 weeks back, Conor McGregor, the 2-weight MMA champion sent huge waves of shock through the MMA world after he announced his retirement on Twitter.

As for the announcement at that time, it drew a lot of skepticism from MMA fans as this news came hours after Conor McGregor told American TV show about his possible negotiations for a fight in coming July.

This was not Conor McGregor’s first retirement news, as his last retirement announcement was back in 2016 which also only lasted for a few days.

The hint of this retirement U-turn by McGregor comes from McGregor and Khabib’s trade of abusive social media posts. Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor by submission back in their fight for the UFC lightweight title back in October of 2018.

McGregor, on his urge for a rematch against Khabib, had no hidden agendas as he wrote in his post, “See you in the octagon”.

Following this post, McGregor also posted and tweeted a string of derogatory posts as well as photos about Khabib’s wife.

As for Dana White, the UFC president’s thoughts on this social war, he said that this has gone on to become completely unacceptable and he has reached out to the camps of both fighters to lessen this ongoing tension.

Since the match, which ended with a huge melee and a brawl, both fighters have not fought in a single match following their suspension from the UFC.

McGregor was handed down a suspension of 6 months from UFC along with a 50000 dollars fine.

In other rumors and hints by McGregor, he might have a possible plan of fighting against boxer named Paulie Malignaggi for a bare-knuckle fight.
