The former two-weight UFC champion of the world, Conor McGregor has announced his retirement from the MMA.
30 years old McGregor wrote on his twitter account as follows,
“Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as ‘Mixed Martial Art’ today. I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition. I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!”
This news has been released after 2 weeks later of McGregor being arrested by police department in South Florida. He was arrested for allegedly smashing as well as stealing a man’s phone who was trying to take pictures of him.
McGregor was arrested on charges of strong arm robbery as well as criminal mischief as per the report from Miami Beach Police.
Back in 2016, McGregor also announced on Twitter that he has decided to retire young from MMA. That news came after his first UFC career defeat at hands of Nate Diaz but he still made a return after 3 months of the news to fight the American once again.
McGregor, who made a return to the UFC after taking a 2-year hiatus from MMA, was badly beaten in his fight agsint Khabib Nurmagomedov back in October of 2018. The fight ended with McGregor submitting in the midway of 4th round.
