Stephen Curry was particularly splendid in his first half shooting on Monday night. His championship teammates also pitched in.
Curry scored 26 points for the Warriors, out of which 23 points were scored in the first half on Monday night game against the Indiana Pacers as he led the Golden State Warriors to win the game by 132-100. This was the Warriors’ 11th consecutive win of the season. Even with this win, the two times defending champions are not satisfied.
Curry, when asked if Warriors can be better, said, “I feel like we can. We are not playing the perfect basketball by any standards but we are still playing the consistent and focused basketball. We are still working out some kinks with rotations and other stuff like that.”
Curry with his first 8 shots and fist 6 3-pointers along with a buzzer-beating 27-footer allowed Warriors to have a 69-48 lead by the halftime. He also finished 10 of 13 from the field with his 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in just 27 minutes play.
DeMarcus Cousins of the Warriors scored his season-high 22 points while five of the Warriors’ players finished in double figures for the night. The warrior had a total of 39 assists for the night.
Golden State Warriors have now on the league-high of 10 consecutive games on the road and also swept their five-game road trip for the first time since November of 2014.
As for Indianan Pacers, they were playing without their All-Star guard Victor Oladipo who had a season-ending surgery one on Monday and as for Oladipo’s replacement, Tyreke Evans, he had a sore back but still managed to struggle against Warriors flurry.
Myles Turner led the Pacers with his 16 points while Bojan Bogdanovic had 15 points as Pacers lost for the second straight time.
Up Next, Golden State Warriors will play host a game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night; a team they have beaten 10 times already this season.
As for Indiana Pacers, they will play against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.
