Daniil Medvedev wins the 4th round match and once again trolls the booing fans at the US Open

Nick Kyrgios, you need to move over, there is a new bad boy and villain in tennis and most especially at the US Open.

Daniil Medvedev, the no. 5th seeded player at the US Open defeated his 4th round opponent Dominik Koepfer by 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, and 7-6.

Medvedev was yet at it again with his trolling to the US Open fan at a whole new level.

After winning the match point, Medvedev decided to riel up the crowd watching the match at the Luis Armstrong Stadium as he walked towards the net and begged the crowd for booing him.

Medvedev congratulated Koepfer and then walked away from the net, all the while raising both his arms high above his head making hand motions to ask the crowd to boo at him.

Still, the Russian was not done with his gestures; he had to say something to the crowd during his on-court interview. Medvedev said, “What I need to say again is that today I was losing 6-3, 2-0. I was painful in my abductor before the match. I thought I’m not going to play. I’m painful in my shoulder. I took as much painkillers as I could. And you guys, being against me gave me so much energy to win. Thank you.”

The crowd at the US Open this year has become quite familiar with the bizarre behavior of Medvedev.

Earlier in his Friday’s match, Medvedev received a code violation for grabbing the towel from ballparks in angry demeanor. When he received the code violation, he threw his racket on the court. He was also caught by the TV cameras giving the middle finger to the umpire from the side of his head.

Medvedev entered his 4th round match with a fine of 19000 dollars for his conduct during the US Open. He had been fined for using abusive language during the first-round match, in 2nd round match for equipment abuse and in third for unsportsmanlike behavior.
