Dan Evans easily cruised through his match against Lloyd Harris by a 6-0 and 6-2 win, to cruise into the quarterfinals of the Delray Beach Open.
Evan in his match had little trouble to win contrary to his earlier match against the defending champion Frances Tiafoe. With this win, Evans who moves into the quarterfinals will play against Andreas Seppi at the Florida tournament.
28 years old Evans is making huge improvements as he climbs the world rankings. He had been absent from the sport for 1 years due to his ban for using cocaine.
Former British no. 2 Evans battled through the three qualifying rounds before he managed into the main draws of the tournament. Once at the main draws he played against Frances Tiafoe on Tuesday for a match in which he won the game with tough three sets.
As for the wildcard of the tournament, Lloyd Harris from South Africa, proved not much of a tough opponent for Evans as his serve broke three times in the first set.
As for Andreas Seppi, he managed to move into the quarter finals after defeating Australian player Jordan Thompson by 6-3, 4-6 and 6-1.
Eight seed Adrian Mannarino has also cruised into the quarter finals after defeating Denis Istomin by 6-2 and 7-6.
