Delray Beach Open final; Dan Evans loses the final against Radu Albot

Dan Evans of Great Britain in the final match of Delray Open Beach played on Sunday night wasted three match points as he lost his chance to win this first ATP Tour title against Radu Albot.

Earlier, Dan Evans had produced one of the spectacular performances of his career when he defeated the home favorite John Isner in the semi-finals of the tournament on Saturday.

After a rain delay, Albot fought back hard to cause Evans loose three match points as the Moldovan secured himself a win by 3-6, 6-3 and 7-6 as he won the thrilling tie-break match.

On the other hand, Laslo Djere claimed the Rio Open title after he defeated his opponent, Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada by 6-3 7-5.

Laslo, the 23 years old Serbian player shocked the world no. 8 Dominic Thiem in the first round of the event by defeating him easily. Laslo will now climb 50 spots to be the world no. 40 in the ATP rankings.

As for Stefanos Tsitsipas, he clinched his second ATP Tour Title after defeating Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin by 7-5 and 7-5 at the Marseille Open.
