Dilhara Lokuhettige, the former all-rounder of the Sri Lanka cricket team is facing the charges for three counts of breaching the anti-corruption code of International Cricket Council.
The charges which the all-rounder Dilhara Lokuhettige faces include him being an active party in their effort to fix either the result or the progress of an international match. In addition to this, he is also charged with directly soliciting, encouraging and inducing a certain player to do the same actions.
Lokuhettige, who has played 9 ODIs as well as 2 T20 Internationals for Sri Lanka cricket team has also been charged for similar charges relating to the 10-over league last year in UAE.
The ICC said in their statement about Lokuhettige, “He was provisionally suspended by the ICC, which had been appointed by the Emirates Cricket Board as its designated anti-corruption official. That provisional suspension remains in full force and effect, and he has additionally been provisionally suspended under the ICC Code pending the determination of these new charges.”

Has only 14 days in order to respond to his new charges. The Sri Lank Cricket team has been in a lot of trouble ever since the ICC has continued their investigation relating the corruption by the Island nation.
Back in January, ICC has also granted the cricketers of Sri Lanka team a 15 days amnesty to report any of the undisclosed corruption related to the sport.
This amnesty was followed by a 2-year ban given to the former captain and chairman of selectors of Sri Lanka, Sanath Jayasuriya after he refused to cooperate any of the investigations by the anti-corruption unit.
