Durant leads with 35 points as Warriors beat Rockets in Game 1

Steve Kerr has seen his fair share of postseasons where he saw the performances from one of the greatest in the history of the NBA.

Cracking a reference to the former Chicago Bulls player Michael Jordan, Kerr said, “There was this guy name Michael but I can’t seem to remember his last name.”

Now Kevin Durant is also having a super postseason run of his own.

Durant led the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night with his 3 points as he outdueled James Harden to let his team Houston Rockets by 104-100 in the Game 1 of the second round series of the Playoffs.

This was the first game of the semi-finals of the Western Conference for a contest of best out of seven games which are going to shape up the rest of the postseasons.

Draymond Green, talking about the 2 times reigning NBA Finals MVP, said, “ With him being aggressive like he is being now, I don’t think that there is anyone in the world much less in the league who can stop him.”

Chris Paul of Houston was ejected with only 4.4 seconds to the game over a technical foul. Paul said, “I don’t know, nobody told me. He just called a tech.”

Paul had a missed a rebound for a missed 3-pointer by Harden that could have tied the game with only 9 seconds to the game but was arguing over a foul.

Green scored 14 points along with 9 assists and 9 rebounds to give the 2 times reigning NBA champion Warriors who are playing against Rockets for the 4th time in the last 5 years. So far, Houston has never been able to defeat them in the postseason.

Harden led the Rockets with his 35 points, while Eric Gordon added in his 27 points.

Game 2 of the second round series will be played at the Oracle Arena on Tuesday night.
