Embiid leads Philadelphia 76ers to beat Nuggets at home game

Joel Embidd of the Philadelphia 76ers threw for a shot over his shoulders and into the basket and then celebrated with a no-look shot with a little shake and the shimmy.

Yes, the Philadelphia 76ers is now inning once more. And their big star wants to be in the middle of these wins.

Embiid scored 22 points including the 2 important free throws with only 15 seconds left to the game while Tobias Harris scored 20 points as the Philadelphia 76ers won their home game against the Denver Nuggets by 97-92.

Matisse Thybulle scored 13 points for the 76ers who are now 13-0 at home games.  They have won 3 games in a row as well as winning 7 of their last 8 games.

Embiid, who had a no-score game a short while ago, said of his performance in this game, “I simply need to be myself. When I am having fun, I tend to dominate.”

Embiid also said that after serving his 2-game suspension from back on 30th October for his fight with Karl Anthony Towns, he has matured by cutting back on some of his extracurricular activities.

The first time, Embiid made a real impact for the 76ers in this game was near the end of the 3rd quarter as he made a very improbable shot which allowed for the Philadelphia 76ers to be in lead by 83-76 and the crowd really loved this shot.

As for the Denver Nuggets, they were led by Will Barton, who scored 26 points as the team lost their 3rd game in a row and now 5 of their last 6 games. Their leading scorer Jamal Murray had to be sidelined with only 7 minutes left to the first quarter following a collision with Ben Simmons. He never made it back on the court.

Up next for the Denver Nuggets is the Thursday night game which they will host against the Portland Trail Blazers.  As for the Philadelphia 76ers, they will be having a road game on Thursday night against the Boston Celtics.
