Floyd Mayweather has said to media that the money spinning fight with the UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is happening.
However, he also stated that any fight with the mixed martial arts great must be fought in a boxing ring rather than in Octagon. Khabib Nurmagomedov who defeated Conor McGregor earlier this month at UFC 229 to remain unbeaten has said that he now wants to fight the best, Mayweather.
Mayweather on this while comment from Nurmagomedov said, “Oh, it’s happening. I am my own boss. So I am not certain what is going on at Khabib’s end. However, on my end, we can definitely make it happen”.
Still just like in McGregor vs. Mayweather fight, Floyd wants the fight to take place in a ring rather than in an octagon.
He further said, “I am Floyd Mayweather. I am the A-side of my game. You call me out you will have to come into my world. I don’t know any fighter who has made the number like I did. I don’t know any fighter who made money like I made. So he called me out, now he has come into my world and makes it happen.”
Relating to the interview in which Khabib said that he knocked McGregor out, Mayweather taunted the fighter with words, “he said that he knocked McGregor down and said I did not knock McGregor down. Ok Khabib, you go my leftovers, Whoop-dee-do.”
For Mayweather this fight is all about making money and he thinks that with this fight with Russian undefeated champion he is going to make more money than he did in the fight with McGregor.
“When I face Khabib, I am looking at a nine figure payday. More than McGregor fight. I am looking at 100 million dollars guaranteed. It could also be upward from 110 million dollars to 200 million dollars guaranteed.”
