Frances Tiafoe; who was also the member selected for the Team World at the inaugural lemony of the Laver Cup last year, has been selected to replace Juan Martin del Potro with Captain John McEnroe.
De Potro I not able to take up his spot on the Team World because he is still recovering from his time at the US Open. Del Potro was defeated by Novak Djokovic in US Open.
20 years old Tiafoe is also a great replacement for the Argentina Giant. In February, Tiafoe won the maiden ATP Tour title that was held at Delray Beach. He was en route to crown after upsetting players like Del Potro, Hyeon Chung and Denis Shapovalov.
Tiafoe who is ranked Number 40 in the prowled said to media that, “Laver Cup was one of the highlight of my 2017 career year. I had an awesome time there and I am pretty excited to joining the team again while repressing the Team World in Chicago for Laver Cup.”
Tiafoe further said, “Prague was a fantastic venue for the last year’s Laver Cup and now I am looking forward to play here at home in US. Chicagoans lover the sports and I am pretty sure that Team World is going to have a lot of support. I can’t wait for t to start”.
John McEnroe; Captain of the Team World is really impressed by Tiafoe’s performance last year in Prague for their match against euro Team at Laver Cup 2017. He has welcomed Tiafoe with open arms for this year’s tournament as well.
