Geneva Open; Zverev defeats Hugo Dellien to reach the semifinals

Top-seeded player of the Geneva Open and the world rank no. 5 Alexander Zverev is presenting his world-class performance at the tournament as he once again defeats his opponent to reach the semi-finals.

On Thursday, Zverev defeated his quarterfinal opponent Hugo Dellien by 7-5, 3-6 and 6-3.

Zverev, in an amazing first round performance, was trailing by at 5-3 but then saved a match point to beat his world rank.92 opponent in the fits set.

After losing the second set, Zverev got his composure back to beat his opponent by taking an early 3-1 lead.

Zverev, who sin yet to win a single title this season, said, “I struggled a little bit against Hugo but then if found a way to win the match. And for me, that is the most important thing right now.”

Next, Zverev is going to play against the winner of Federico Delbonis and Albert Ramos-Vinolas match. They could not complete their match due to fading light while Delbonis was winning the game by 7-6 and 2-3.

In other matches of the day, the 5th seeded player Radu Albot was able to win over his Bosnian opponent Damir Dzumhur by 6-3 and 7-5.

He will now face the Chilean player Nicolas Jarry who defeated Taro Daniel of Japan by 6-1 and 7-5.
