Griffin scores 30 to lead Pistons past Magic by 120-115 in OT

The Pistons Coach Dwane Casey is bothered by Andre Drummond’s bad habit. However, luckily for the Pistons and Casey, Drummond still manages to win the basketball games in the most crucial moments.

Drummond scored his own triple-double on Wednesday night as the Pistons managed to win a crucial game during overtime by 120-115 in OT against the Orlando Magic.

Drummond scored 14 points with 11 offensive rebounds and 11 defensive rebounds as he recorded his 11th career “Moses Malone triple-double.”  Only two other players; Malone (24) and Dennis Rodman (17), have managed to do this feat after ABA-NBA merger.

Casey said, “Andre is the best rebounder in the league and he is the huge asset for the team”.

Andre has now finished 11 of his games with 22 rebounds.

Magic coach Steve Clifford said, “That was the game. In the last few seconds we were up two points and then we had two stops. They, on the other hand, got three offensive rebounds and managed to tie the game.”

Pistons were led by Blake Griffin for the night who scored 30 points as the Pistons won their third game out of their last 11 games. Now they are half a game ahead of Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference rankings.

From Orlando’s side, Nikola Vucevic and Terrence Ross both scored 24 points each for the team. Orlando were coming off a two-game winning streak following their four-game losing streak.

Six players of Detroit Pistons finished the night by scoring in double digits.

Up next, Orlando Magic will host a game against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night while Detroit Pistons will host a game against the Miami Heat on Friday night.
