Jimmy Butler of Minnesota Timberwolves wants to be traded; Team coach is at odds for this trade

Jimmy Butler; player of the Minnesota Timberwolves wants to be traded and anyone can see it. However the head coach of Timberwolves; Tim Thibodeau wants to keep Butler on the team for now.

According to recent reports from team, there has been a growing discontent within the organization as to keep Butler; All Star Forward in team or not.

Tom Thibodeau; the head coach of Minnesota Timberwolves and President of Basketball operations still wants Butler on the team. He intends to keep him on the cost of Butler declining the option for being the player 2019-2020 seasons which lets him become a free agent in the next summer.

According to ESPN news, Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor has told the NBA Board’s of Governors meetings that Butler is available for the team.

An ESPN representative told on Friday that, “owner are willing to trade Butler. It’s only a matter of time”.

Butler; earlier this week presented his wish to be trade of by team and also wants the deal to be carried out by Monday until team’s media day. All Star Player has only one year left off of his five years contract deal of worth 95 million dollars when he signed with Chicago Bulls. The final year is a player option of 2019-2020 that is worth around 19.8 million dollars.

At the moment, Butler is also eligible for a maximum extension contract deal of about 190 million dollars if the Minnesota extends his contract or any other team wants him. In case Butler becomes a free agent, he can then sign for a four years contract worth 140 million dollars.

Butler who was acquired by Timberwolves after six seasons with Bulls managed to have an average 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. These stats allowed Minnesota Timberwolves to regain back in the playoffs for the first time in 14 years.
