Joel Embidd had already taken out the air out of the Toronto Raptors by the time he had made a windmill dunk to ensure his team’s victory. After the win, Embidd ran down the court with his arms stretched out like wings of an airplane.
Embidd was in refusal to go back to the Philly without a loss as he scored 33 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to win over Toronto Raptors by 116-95 in the Game 3 of the second round series on Thursday night.
With this win, 76ers now have a 20-1 lead over the Raptors for the semifinals series of the Eastern Conference.
Embidd said, “When I have fun playing in the game, my game changes totally. I am always being told that if I am not smiling in a game, I am having a bad game or that I am not into it. In order for me to get my game going, I need to have fun playing it.”
In addition to these 33 points, Embidd also had 10 rebounds for the 76ers as they are chasing their first-ever run to the NBA championship since 1983.
Jimmy Butler, who stood out in the Game 2 of the 76ers, dunked his own steal and scored a total of 22 points for the team.
As for Toronto Raptors, they were led by Leonard who scored 33 points while Pascal Siakam scored 20 points for the team.
Nick Nurse, Raptors coach said, “I think, tonight we got outplayed in every area of the game we could be outplayed. It has been a while since we have seen this team play like this way.”
As for the Game 4 of the second round series of the playoffs, it will now be played on Sunday night in Philadelphia.
