Kyle Busch will now be starting his upcoming race with not but clean air ahead of him at the pole.
After Kyle Busch failed to win the pole for entire last season, he was able to score the first pole on Saturday with his time of 25.693 seconds. This is great news for Kyle Busch, especially winning just before the Bluegreen Vacations 500 race to be held at the ISM Raceway, which is the semifinals race of the NASCAR season.
Kyle Busch was driving the no. 18 Toyota car for the Joe Gibbs Racing which is currently standing at the 3rd spot in the playoffs standings of NASCAR. He will now enjoy an excellent starting position for participating next week’s championship race.
Kyle Busch said of his pole win, “Obviously, this is a really good starting spot for us. Getting a track position here is a really great thing. The guys behind us are also aware that we are going to barely hungry. But still, we are in the best spot to start the race off and we have got 312 racing laps to figure things out.”
34 years old Busch has not won a race since this June and has also found himself to be in the victory lane for the past 2 NASCATR Cup races held at the ISM Raceway.
Among the playoff driver, Busch entered in the round of 8 as the top seeded driver. But then wins by Kevin Harvick and his teammate Martin Truex Jr. has only left Kyle Busch with only a little space for error to advance into the race.
All other seven drivers from the round of 8 have also qualified in the top 10.
