Kyle Murray the Baseball player and college football quarterback has declared himself for the 2019 NFL draft.
Kyler Murray, who is from Oklahoma City has submitted his par work for turning pro and will enter the draft in April.
Murray was previously signed by the Major League Baseball side the Oakland Athletics, the A’s, last summer for a contract deal of 4.66 million dollars. He was the ninth overall pick of the draft.
The contact stated that he would be allowed to return to Oklahoma City this year and be allowed to play football before he turns pro in the MLB for next season.
If 21 years old Murray is selected in the NFL draft, he will have to forfeit his MLB contract and the 4.66 million dollars that come with it.
In the past season for Oklahoma Sooners, Murray completed 260 of his 377 passes for 42 TDs.
He also had 1001 rushing yards along with 12 TDs as he led the Sooners to the semi-finals of this year’s College Football playoffs where they eventually lost against the runner up, Alabama.
The winner of the 20187’s Heisman Trophy still has a time limit of 72 hours in which he can choose to pull out from the NFL draft.
