Kyrie Irving; the star of the Boston Celtics is going to be one of the most sought-after free agents of the NBA next summer but he says that he is not going anywhere.
In an event at TD Garden, Irving said that, “If you guys will have me back, I plan on re-signing here”.
However, Celtics must still tread lightly as Irving once sad to a Cavaliers fan back in 2013 that he will not leave but forced his way after 4 years. Still, his latest statement is music to ears of Celtics fans.
Irving is the five times All-Star who played six seasons with Cleveland Cavaliers is renowned to be one of the NBA’s top point guards and with him, Celtics have a bright future ahead of them.
In a media talk last week, Irving paid praise to Celtics for growing into one of the top teams of the league and being one of the true contenders for the title.
Irving said that, “I know that this franchise is going to become one of the top tiers in the next few upcoming years. Who would not want to be the part of that? What more can you ask for an organization that can elevate your game? I have given it though and it is my dream to be the number 11 on the rafters one day, hopefully. This is my dream and it’s not like I am coming out but I feel respect for my teammates. I feel this way about organization and myself can be looking forward to challenging this year”.
