Nickell Robey-Coleman; the defensive back of the Los Angeles Rams plans to pay the fine for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Tommylee Lewis; the wide receiver of the New Orleans Saints during the NFC championship game.
Nickell Robey-Coleman has been fined by NFL for a sum of 26739 dollars for this infamous hit during the 26-23 OT that resulted in Rams win over the Saints.
Nickell Robey-Coleman in a press conference told the media that he had received the fine and also said that he will pay it. However, e did not show any indication as for if he really agrees with this sanction imposed by NFL on him.
The hit which occurred during the decisive fourth quarter drive for the Saints has raised many conspiracies as no flag was thrown to call the hit by the officials.
This no-call has resulted into outrage by the Saints and their fans who are calling for a Super Bowl boycott. Sean Payton, the New Orleans Saints’ head coach said, “Referees Blew the call.”
