The NHL team St. Louis Blues the winner of the last season’s Stanley Cup were making sure that the team’s superfan Laila Anderson was honored for her role in the first Stanley Cup victory of the franchise in their history as they gifted her championship ring with her name inscribed over it.

As if gifting the ring was not enough, they decided to present it to her at her house.

Alexander Steen, the forward of the Blues, who had come to Anderson residence with his teammate Colton Parayko, said, “You know how much you mean to us, right, and what an inspiration you’ve been to so many people. So I and Colton are here and representing our organization and everybody there, and we have something that we would like you to open right now.”

As Laila opened the ring box, she was in tears.  She said, “I feel I should not be touching this.”

Anderson is suffering from a rare immune disorder and had been surprised by her favorite NHL team a lot in the last season. They have adopted her cause and also claim that she has inspirited their amazing run last season. She was also invited by the team to the West Conference’s final Game 3. The team also gave her the mic so that Laila could pump up the crowd at the Final of the Stanley Cup.

The biggest surprise for Laila was for game 7 in Boston when the team flew Laila there and defeated the bruins. She was helped by Parayko on the ice to hold the Stanley Cup trophy too. In addition to this, she was also on the stage where the team helped lifting the trophy at the championship rally.

The championship ring has a little over 300 diamonds and little sapphires which are references to the rally of Blues and their good luck song “Gloria”. The word Laila has been inscribed on the interior of the ring.

The ring was able to fit perfectly in the finger of Superfan.
