Kyle Lowry stole the ball in the closing minutes and waited for the team’s star player Kawhi Leonard to arrive near him and feed him the ball which he dunked for a thunderous one-handed slam over Bucks’ star player Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Leonard said, “After my dunk, the building exploded.”
Kawhi could not be more wrong because for the first time ever, the NBA finals will be moved to Toronto when it starts next week.
Leonard led the Toronto Raptors with his 27 points along with his n17 rebounds to lead his team into the finals of the NBA with a win of 100-94 over the Milwaukee Bucks in the Game 6 held on Saturday night.
With this win, the Raptors have the Eastern Conference Finals and will contest for the NBA championship against the two-time defending NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors.
Lowry said, “Kawhi’s dunk was a momentous capper of the game. We were on the run so we thought why not feed our big dog. Let our big dog eat.”
Raptors had a 15-point deficit in the game 6 which they were able to close out tot eh Eastern Conference finals series in Game 6. They will be hosting the Golden State Warriors for the NBA championship game 1 on Thursday night next week.
Raptors are able to bring the NBA finals outside of America for the first time after they entered the league back in 1995.
Nick Nurse, Raptors coach said, “They are our one of the greatest teams in history. It will be a tall task but we will figure it out.”
Other players such as Pascal Siakam scored 18 points while Lowry had 17 and Fred VanVleet added in his 14 points for Raptors’ win.
As for Bucks, they were led by Antetokounmpo who scored 21 points along with 11 rebounds who became the top team during the regular season only to end out in a disappointing manner.
