Leonard has 39 as Raptors beat Philadelphia 76ers by 101-96 to even the series

Kawhi Leonard of the Raptors needed some help from his teammates on Sunday night but then he took it upon himself to finish it off.

Leonard took the lead of Toronto Raptors on Sunday night with his 39 points which included him clutching a 3-pointer with 1 minute to the clock as the Raptors won over the Philadelphia 76ers by 101-96.

With this win, Raptors have now even the semifinals series of the Eastern Conference by 2-2.

Leonard said, “I just grow up while learning from the best players. I was fortunate enough to be on some of the really great team while growing up. This is why I was able to see the defense and go deep in the playoff runs and all of this helped me a lot tonight.”

Other Players of Raptors such as Marc Gasol scored 16 points while Kyle Lowry added in his 14 points for the team who have made a comeback from having back to back defeat to finally reclaim their home court advantage.

Nick Nurse, Raptors coach said, “we needed some punch around the roster. It was a different mentality tonight. Guys were looking to make shots, taking all the first shots that were there.”

As for Philadelphia 76ers, they were led by Jimmy Butler who scored 29 points while JJ Reddick added in his 19 points for the team. 76ers, since the 2001 NBA Finals when Allen Iverson led them to the NBA finals, are trying their best to reach the conference finals.
