Kawhi Leonard of the Toronto Raptors played so good on Tuesday night that the head coach Nick Nurse just wanted to sit down and enjoy the show.
Under Kawhi Leonard’s lead, who scored his career-high 45 points, Raptors were able to win against the Utah Jazz by 122-126 on Tuesday night game.
Nurse talking about Leonard said, “That is good we have got to witness this in live and in person. Leonard was phenomenal tonight. I have been kind of waiting for these kinds of nights where he makes them all”.
Another major scorer for the Raptors was Pascal Siakam who scored his own career-best 28 points with 10 rebounds while Norman Powell scored his season-high 14 points for the Raptors.
With this game, Raptors have now won 4 straight games at home despite the fact that they are playing without their All-Star guard Kyle Lowry and Center player Jonas Valanciunas.
Powell talking about Leonard said, “The away Leonard is playing right now, it is very good for our teams with lots of our guys out”.
Leonard shot 16 for 22 and only missed three 3-pointer shots and also completed 13 of his 17 free throws. Leonard said that he was not aware of his hooting achievement until after the game ended.
Leonard said, “I try to be in the competition and try making every possession count and not worry about myself. I am just trying to get a win”.
This was Leonard’s third 40 points game of his career. He has now scored 20 or more points in his career best of 14 consecutive games.
As for Utah Jazz, they were led by Jae Crowder who scored his own career high of 30 points while Derrick Favors scored 21 and Donovan Mitchell scored 19 points for the team.
Other Jazz’s players like Rudy Grobert scored 16 points whereas Ricky Rubio scored 14 points.
Up next, Utah Jazz will play against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night while Toronto Raptors will play against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.
