Los Angeles Dodgers were able to secure their berth for the World Series after Yasiel Puig hit three home runs. Dodgers managed to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers by 5-1 in the Game 7 of the National League Championship Series (NLCS).
Puig’s impressive shot along with his superb pitching confirmed the Dodgers victory and a match with Red Sox which will decide the sport’s world championship.
Christian Yelichof the Brewers gave the team a 1-0 lead in the first innings but in the end, they failed to maintain the advantage they got over the Dodgers rookie player Walker Buehler.
Dodgers manager; Dave Roberts said, “I am very proud of my guys for enduring this roller coaster of a season. I am also looking forward to going back to Fenway Park. Personally, for me, I happen to have a lot of fond memories of the Red Sox and Fenway Park.”
He further expressed his feelings to media, “it is going to be very special for me to wear another uniform and play there for World Series Championship. I think it’s going to be fun for fans and for baseball. A match where two storied franchises will face each other head to head is going to be great.”
World Series will take place on Tuesday at Fenway Park. Red Sox have already firmed their berth on World Series after winning five games and latest against Houston Astros.
