Mike McCoy is a veteran coach who was hired by the team’s owner to turn the state of the struggling team whose offense in the league is at its worst. The Cardinals currently sit at 1-6 for the season in the NFC West.
Mike McCoy is the second coach this week other than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Mike Smith to be fired in less than a week’s time. Mike Smith was the defensive coordinator of the Buccaneers.
Josh Rosen, the rookie quarterback for the Cardinals had the worst game of his season as he suffered from five major turnovers from Broncos defense.
An insider source has revealed that the quarterback coach Bryon Leftwich is going to take over for the position of McCoy.
With this, it has been a total of three times when Mike McCoy has been let go by NFL teams in a period of 22 months. He was previously fired by teams like Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos.
