Milan keeps their Champions League hopes alive as the won over Bologna by 2-1

AC Milan has managed to keep its hope alive for the Champions League after they won over Bologna by 2-1 on their Monday’s match in Serie A. the match was thrilling one which saw three players from both teams being sent off the field.

2 goals were made by the players of Milan; Suso and substitute Fabio Borino during each of the game halves while the Bologna scored a goal by Mattia Destro during the 72nd minute of the game.

A few moments after Bologna scored the goal, Milan was only reduced to 10 players after their player Lucas Paqueta was booked by the referee for an angry reaction to a foul by Erick Pulgar, the midfielder of Bologna. Paqueta was then sent off the field for slapping the hand of the referee in disagreement.

Nicola Sansone, the forward for Bologna was also sent off the field for dissent during stoppage time as well as his teammate Mitchell Dijks after the final whistle was blown.

With this win, Milan now moves into 5th place, which is 3 points behind Atalanta for the final berth of the Champions League. There are still three rounds remaining.

As for Bologna, they now move above the relegation zone with 5 points.
