With Jared Goff and Tom Brady, both participating in the Super Bowl, the spot for the Pro Bowl has been handed down to Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and Houston Texans Deshaun Watson.
This will be the first Pro Bowl appearance for both these quarterbacks I the All-Star game held in Florida this weekend. Both of these QBs were drafted back in the first round of 2017 NFL draft.
Goff and his team Los Angeles Rams are both into the Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta after they won the NFC Championship game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. As for Brady and his team New England Patriots, they are also on the familiar trip to Atlanta after the on the AFC championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Trubisky led the team to win the NFC North as well as he also led the Chicago Bears to defeat the LA Rams back in December. As for Brady and the Pats they lost to Watson and Texans back in Week 3 game.
In 2018, Watson has become the first ever player in the NFL’s history to have scored 4000 passing yards, 25 passing TDs, 500 rushing yards, and 5 rushing TDs in a single season.
As for Trubisky, he is the first QB for the Bears to have made it to the Pro Bowl since Jim McMahon who achieved this feat back in 1986. Trubisky this season made 3223 yards with 24 TDs and also had 421 rushing yards with three scores.
