According to latest news from MLB, the Cubs’ shortstop Addison Russell remains on the administrative leave until rest of the season until Sunday. This means that he is not going to participate in Cubs game against St. Louis Cardinals. This news also means that Addison Russell will remain on more administrative leave time while MLB decides if Addison Russell will be suspended for good on domestic abuse charges or not.
MLB, which informed Russell on Thursday of previous week that he will be on administrative leave until Friday has now informed him that his leave has been extend until Sunday. The news was confirmed by two officials directly involved in case proceedings. The identity of these officials is anonymous because of the prohibition rule by MLB’s final decision making.
Russell has once again denied the alleged charges by his wife and is still expected to remain suspended until the rest of the season.
