Naomi Osaka, just after few weeks of winning her second Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, announced her being splitting from Coach Sascha Bajin.
The 21 years old payer won the Australian Open last month which she added to her US Open title win, which she won in September last year.
Osaka is also currently the no. 1 player in the TWA rankings but she wrote on Twitter, “Hey everyone, I will no longer be working together with Sascha. I thank him for his work and wish him all the best in the future.”
Bajin shortly responded to Osaka’s tweet as he wrote back, “I wish you nothing but the best as well. What a ride that was. Thank you for letting me be part of this.”
Bajin, who had been crowned as the WTA Coach of the Year in 2018, was hired by Osaka at the start of the last season.
The 34 years old German tennis coach has previously worked with players like Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki.
