On the Saturday night game of football for the French League between Paris Saint Germain and Strasbourg, Neymar got heavily insulted with banner and was jeered at. However, he was still able to score the inning goal to lead PSG’s win over Strasbourg by 1-0.
Neymar got a left wing cross from Abdou Diallo and brilliantly made a hook shot in the goal post while falling backward. Even after Neymar scored the only goal that granted PSG its win, h was still jeered at by the ultras of PSG standing behind the goal.
He had earlier angered these fans during eh offseason decision of him joining Barcelona. The forward of PSG tried to force the talks by sitting in 4 league games but these talks broke down.
Neymar said, “I stayed calm as we all know what happened. I do understand that this is very difficult for them. As for now, I am still a player of PSG and if they want to whistle at me, then no problem.”
Two banners insulted not only Neymar but also his father who is in favor of his son’s transfer talks. One of the banners referenced to the move of Neymar spending his own 20 million Euros for the deal that would see him reuniting with his former teammate Lionel Messi.
With this win, PSG is now at first place in the league with 2 points ahead of the 2nd place Rennes. Rennes drew 0-0 against Brest.
