Nowitzki scores 30 to Mavs win over Suns by 120-109 and announces his retirement

Dirk Nowitzki topped the night by scoring his season high of 30 points and alter announced his retirement in what was the final home game of the 40 years old player’s career. The game was played between Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns, which Mavs won by 120-109 on Tuesday night.

Dirk Nowitzki speaking to the crowd said, “As many of you might know, this is my last game at home.”

Dirk Nowitzki, the 14 times All-Star NBA player took the lead of the team as he scored 10 points in the starting 3 minutes of the game. In the very same game, he also crushed his season-high record of 21 points on 3-pointers during the 3rd quarter.

The regular season’s final game for Dallas Mavericks as well as the last career game for Dirk Nowitzki is going to be played on Wednesday against San Antonio Spurs. Dirk Nowitzki has spent 21 seasons with the Mavs while Kobe Bryant who retired three years ago from Mavs played 20 of his seasons with Lakers.

Crawford, who had his first 50 points game since 20th December 2008 played against Charlotte Hornets said, “I am sorry that we could not get the win tonight. However, it was Dirk ‘s night so things ended well tonight and you also do not feel bad that much.”

Up next, Phoenix Suns will be waiting for their NBA draft lottery. As for Dallas Mavericks, they will be playing their regular season’s final game against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
