The Oakland Raiders have rejoiced themselves a final lease approval for staying at the Oakland Raiders Coliseum. Well if not for a long time but still for one more season.
The Oakland City Council this Thursday approved of the lease for the year 2019 with an option also available for 2020. The Alameda Board of Supervisors earlier this week all voted in favor of this lease had already been approved by the Coliseum Authorities last week.
Under this new lease contract, Raiders will be paying 7.6 million Dollars in rent as well for practice facility located in Alameda. In addition to this, raiders also have an option of nearly 10.5 million dollars for 2020 if their 1.8 billion dollars stadium with a capacity of 65000 seats is not ready by 2020 in Las Vegas.
If there are not any setbacks, this will also be most likely Raiders last season in Oakland. The Raiders moved from Los Angeles to Oakland back in 1995.
They started playing at the Coliseum back in 1996. They were also there through the 1988 season before moving to Southern California.
