Opening game of Bundesliga between Bayern VS Hertha held at 2-2 draw

After Bayern Munich made an agreement to sing in Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona, Bayern Munch was still not able to win the opening game of Bundesliga against Hertha Berlin on Friday night.

Bayern was unable to break through the shaky defense of Hertha which shows that they are lacking to have a player like Coutinho among their ranks.

Hasan Salihamidzic, the sporting director of Bayern said after the game, “we are very happy that we are able to bring this player among our team.”

For the defending champions, Robert Lewandowski was able to score twice on the night but still, Bayern failed to make many of their chances into a goal and also Hertha was able to capitalize on 2 of their biggest setbacks to make 2 goals of their won during the 3rd period of the game.

Salihamidzic said, “We should have scored more goals as we had many other chances to do so. We were really unlucky tonight. Games can go like this but I am still an optimist.”

Lewandowski did not have to wait long before he made his first goal. He made his first goal during the 24th minute of the game as he converted a cross from Serge Gnabry to surge the ball through the middle.

Defense of Hertha was looking as shaky as ever Bayern’s Dodi Lukebakio was able to strike his first goal in the 36th minute to make the score 2-0. Dodi Lukebakio is the same player who scored a hat trick for Bayern Munich during the last season while being on loan from Fortuna Düsseldorf.

As for Hertha, they were able to score their first goal three minutes after the 3rd period and it was scored by Marko Grujic. Niko Kovac, the coach of Bayern Munich aid, “The 2-2 result is OK with us.  We are happy to take this end result.”
