After coming to Phoenix Suns for three weeks, Kelly Oubre Jr. says he is finally feeling comfortable here.
He sure looked comfortable against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
Oubre in the game against Phoenix Suns VS Sacramento Kings was able to score his career high 26 points which also included a one-handed rebounded jam with 11 seconds to the game. The game ended with Phoenix Suns win by 115-11 as they snapped their 6-game skid.
The energetic and athletic Oubre was acquired by the Suns in a trade on December 17th in which they traded off Trevor Ariza to Washington Wizards. Oubre matched his career high of 26 points in this game which he previously scored for the Wizards against Detroit Pistons on Jan 19th of last year.
Talking about his performance, Oubre said, Being decisive, I think it was the biggest thing for me tonight. Finally just getting more comfortable out here, finding my spots and finding ways to impact the game in the new system.”
Other players from Suns like TJ Warren scored 21 points while DeAndre Ayton scored 17 points with 12 rebounds. Suns were playing without their lead scorer Devin Booker who is suffering from back spasms.
As for the Kings, they were led by De’Aaron Fox who scored 24 points while Ben McLemore scored 20 points for the team. With this defeat, Sacramento Kings have lost a fifth of their last 6 games.
Phoenix Suns were able to win the lat of their Seven-game homestead with this win.
Up next, Sacrament Kings will host a game against the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night while Phoenix Suns will host a game against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.
