PCB’s request leads to indefinite postponement of Pakistan’s tour of Netherlands in 2024

Pakistan's tour of Netherlands in 2024 postponed indefinitely at PCB's request

The PCB has indefinitely postponed Pakistan’s tour of the Netherlands in 2024 at their request.

Pakistan’s schedule included three T20Is against Netherlands in early May 2024, as well as matches against Ireland and England, all leading up to the T20 World Cup. The tour was postponed due to scheduling conflicts and concerns about player workload. Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Board (KNCB)’s high-performance manager Roland Lefebvre confirmed the postponement and emphasized the good relationship between the two boards.

Netherlands, who have already qualified for the T20 World Cup, will have to wait to face a Full-Member side in a bilateral T20I fixture. The two teams only met in the T20 World Cup, where they shared on-field camaraderie. Last year, Pakistan visited Netherlands for three ODIs as part of the Super League, with Pakistan winning the series 3-0, but with two close matches. The PCB has acknowledged the postponement and is working on finding a new window for the series.
